"A breeze may flutter through the boughs of a tree, but a sudden, violent gust can uproot said tree... Emotions are much like the wind. They are felt, pass us by, and at times blow us over. The important part is to stand back up."Soft is the first word many would use to describe Hikiyo Kanshi. From her countenance, to her voice, to the way she acts and treats others - this raen is delicate and soft. She is meek and timid. Kiki is easily startled, whether it be by a loud yell, a stern voice, or a clattering noise. However, this does little to chase away the gentle, warm smile that seems to be on her pouty lips nigh constantly.A great effort is taken by the small au'ra to ensure she causes little trouble. She moves with careful strides guided by the cane held in her right hand. The end of the carved wood sweeps across the ground before her, acting as her eyes to prevent her from bumping into anyone or anything. That's not to say she does not make mistakes and bump into people. When she does, immediately she is keen to bow her head and offer a sincere apology.It may come as no surprise that Hikiyo is blind, for the faraway stare in her milky eyes gives it away easily. Wild curls, the color of pale lavender, are swept back from her rounded heart-shaped face and held at the back of her head with a simple clasp. The rest of the curls are allowed to tumble down to her midback, bouncing with each step she takes.Scales, the color reminiscent of pearls, frame her cheeks and decorate her hands. Horns and a stout tail sport the same delicate coloring. She shows very little of her body, but one can assume the freckles upon her cheeks and collarbone grace many other places. The silk robes she wears are baggy and perhaps a bit too large, though the raen doesn't seem to mind it much. She hides away her chubby figure, not out of shame, but some sense of propriety.Ever a lady, Hikiyo makes a great effort to treat those around her with kindness and patience. Frequently she offers her horn to listen, and may suggest the person consult the tarot cards she can read. Always does she have her deck of cards, wrapped in velvet somewhere on her person, usually hidden away when not in use.The pale raen can be seen consulting her cards, and welcomes any who request a reading, provided she has time.

Whilst reading fortunes does earn a few coins here and there, it is not nearly enough to live comfortably - or even minimally. However, being blind cuts many opportunities short. But, she won't let this stop her.❤ Dangerous Ties - The sheer mention of gangs or Yakuza makes the shy raen even more nervous. She is remarkably tight lipped about her past, and for good reason.
